Topic: Theological Error

From the book, The Conservative Reformation by Charles P. Knauth

1. The errorist say to the majority, "We ask for toleration. We are few and tentative; Do not be afraid, only let us alone and we shall not disturb you."

2. After gaining their way for a time, they ask for equal rights with truth; "It shows bigotry if the truth demands superior right. It is only fair that we shall agree and differ on two opinions, because we can both still agree on teaching that is absolutely fundamental, and where we differ is an non-essential."

3. Finally, error goes on to its' natural end, which is to assert supremacy. Error now recommends that the original truth must be rejected, and demands that the church put teachers in place who will repudiate the original faith and instruct other to eradicate it.

This was penned in 1872.

The same errorist methods can and have been asserted into our political and social realms.

Can you recognize it? research
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son Of God.

I have absolutely recognized this in both the Church and in the current political and social climate. The fact that it is happening to certain denominations in the church is one of the major reasons why I chose to become an independent Southern Baptist. I believe that of all the big denominations, The Sourthern Baptist convention is doing the best job of holding onto and obeying the scriptures. I believe the late Antonin Scalia's famous quote about the constitution also applies to the bible. It says what it says and it doesn't say what it doesn't say. No matter how much our culture "evolves" the teachings of the word are timeless.
Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you, and be sure of this, I will be with you always even unto the end of the age. Mathew 28:20
