I just finished mapping my Thrustmaster FCS HOTAS for use in IL2. I still have some open axis and buttons... but not many and changes will probably have to be made. There are a LOT of controls for IL2.
I have attempted to make a single input file to use for almost all craft. I did this by using one button or axis for multiple functions.
For example... I mapped the Airbrake and Siren to the same button. When a Stuka dives, the airbrake will deploy its siren will sound. When other aircraft deploy their airbrakes there will be no siren (since they don't have one) but their airbrakes will still deploy.
Did the same thing with the Water vent and Cowl open and close functions. Radial engines don't need a water vent so when the water vent open and close is called upon the radial crafts engine cowls will open and close instead.
Current setup displayed below.
Already updated. Added tank barrel horizontal and vertical aiming adjustments and Ammunition Selection.
As it stands now, I have 43+ IL2 keymap assignments. Now all I need to do is practice, memorize and trouble shoot it.
