So my buddy and I got to do the http://www.fightercombat.com/ weekend combat program. They are a client of mine (I'm an aerospace engineer.) so I got the employee discount. It was still a bloody expensive weekend, but well worth it, in my opinion.
This was the fun one. It went a few circles with me closing in slowly, and about the time I would have taken the shot, he reversed, spoiling it. Then it went vertical....and I got the kill.

The simulators just can't duplicate the feel of the aircraft. I love my flight and space sims, but it's not the same.
I was so sore after two days of flying. Not only are you spending most of the time looking back over one shoulder or the other, you're typically pulling 3 - 5 g's while doing it!
