I just had one failed attempt to get to the PU. Trying again,

Attempt number 2 was a success. I got to board my Retaliator only to find someone else was already in the pilot seat.

Hi,
This Merry spacer took a week off work next week so if some of you gentlemen have time sometime this weekend or next week, we might try som SC together again. :-)

That sounds like a good idea if I can stay connected in 2.4.0.
I've had problems recently doing so. I keep getting a black screen of death. My screen goes black and the computer locks up. Ctrl+Alt+Del cannot be used. I have to completely power down and reboot. Very discouraging.
Please playtest and report how it is performing for you. |

Yes, they have indeed updated the games keymapping. A real pain for those that have played a LOT in the past. They have trouble adjusting to the new scheme.
I, for one, do not have to relearn it . I never knew or used the old one that much. |

In my limited experience, multiplayer in the current PU isn't very fun or working well.
I am only keeping an eye on game developments.
1. Patch 2.5 PTU has been released to the evocati(?) testers and is expected to go to a wider selection of PTU testers soon.
1a. Reliant to be flyable in 2.5. Pirate base included with a lot of new clothes.
1b. Argo Transport/shuttle to be flyable in 2.5.

Not lately, I would have to relearn the keymapping and create a new laminated keymap sheet. Started to memorize it but with many changes and downloading several gigs to update, i decided to wait and watch developement. I have a download cap with my provider. I also play WOW with a buddy and they also have had several updates. It's a bit overwhelming sometimes to just keep up.

Yes, download caps have to be considered. I've been occupying my playing time with some old favorite games and just purchased a great armored warfare 'simulation'. Steel Beasts. Beginning to go through its tutorials. Interesting. It seems I gravitate towards real simulations. I've been tinkering with DCS too.
When Star Citizen gets its multiplay working well, we'll have to give it a try again.
All in all... we should just be patient with Star Citizen and enjoy our lives in the meantime.
Keep smiling Toshiro. |

I also play minecraft with my 10 year old. It is addictive in an odd sort of way. Also have a bunch of old games that I have collected over the years. So I still have an old xp pc to play those. On top of that I am interested in building my own pc rig. Probably will be up an running after Christmas. Slowly gathering resources, then build it.
I am also watching a few games on steam. Too many interests, not enough time to play them. Maybe when I retire. But i am sure the wife will have other plans for me.
