Yesterday was not a fun day in the Williamson household. We had to say goodbye to my little buddy, Milo. If only 90% of the human race could learn loyalty such as is shown on a regular basis by furry friends like him.

My condolences.
Adorable.
One can become very attached to pets. They are truly faithful companions and friends. My Rottweillers just turned seven years old. The white whiskers on their snouts are already evident. I've had them since the day of their birth. Even now, I somtimes dread their loss. |

Thanks, William. I agree 100%. Enljoy your Rotties to the fullest while they are still with you. Time with them passes far too quickly.

William, another thought. I know that shorter life span is often a characteristic shared by the larger breeds, but take heart. I had a German Shepard/Husky mix that lived to be over 18 years old. He was in amazingly good health right up until the last month or so too. I would take him walking on my 3 mile walk and he was able to do that right up until the last month. A great dog. The best watchdog I've ever seen. If large breeds are cared for which I'm sure yours are, they can and very often do outlive the average life expectancy for their breed.

I hope so.

Thanks Toshiro. With each passing day it gets easier to remember more of the good times the little guy provided and less of the grief that goes with his passing.
