Not sure how to really feel about this until I actually get a chance to try it out. I hope things don't change too drastically or it will be like starting at the bottom of a steep learning curve all over again.

Not to sound discouraging but if they don't improve the connection problems (screen freezes and lag), none of this will mean very much.
Fortunately for me, I won't have that much to unlearn. As you know, I only started flying a few weeks ago and even then not that much.

Very true. The connection issues are the 600 lb gorilla right now.
