SC Controller
wdboyd
Star Citizen and Saitek go way back. The X52 was used in their early crowdfunding videos and as concept art source material for the Anvil Hornet’s cockpit. And readers of this blog have seen us visit the RSI studios up in Santa Monica and partner up with RSI for huge contests before.

Finally, after over a year of speculation, we are pleased to announce at Gamescom that there is dedicated Saitek-branded Star Citizen hardware in the works!!

Bradd,

Personally and based upon what I have read and heard from other SC players, I think Thrustmaster would have been a better controller supplier choice. Saitk qualilty control is questionable. Not to mention they use traditional potentiometers. We'll have to wait and see what Saitek comes up with.

Based upon my very limited experiences so far I would have to agree with you. While I know absolutely nothing about Saitek, I am extremely pleased with the performance of my T16000m so far.

Well, perhaps we will be surprised. I just read where their top of the line HOTAS uses Hall Effect technology. There may be hope.

"During virtual flight – just like true flight – the accuracy of an aircraft's control surfaces is of paramount importance. The X-55 Rhino's control surfaces are incredibly accurate, courtesy of an all-new 16-bit aileron and a 16-bit elevator axis, each employing hall-effect sensors. Developed from the ground up, Saitek's 16-bit axis solution enables extremely precise flight.
