Very cool looking craft. Is it just me or does that thing look a little big to be a light fighter though. Regardless, it looks fantastic.

Yes... others on their forums claim that it looks more like a Medium size fighter or even a small bomber. But, it is a work in progress that will come with Squadron 42. We'll have to wait and see.
The detail level on all these craft just continues to amaze me. I'm starting to worry that I might have to get a better video card to crank everything up to full when the game is finally released.!insert-laugh!

The Squadron 42 team has finished basic development of an additional fighter, the Aegis Dynamics Gladius-class light fighter.
The Gladius will be the first fighter built entirely from concept to CryEngine in the UK! Here’s the official description: The Aegis Gladius is the UEE’s reigning light short-range patrol fighter. A single-seat ship with no room for expansion, the Gladius is fast, maneuverable and capable of punching far above its weight. The main advantage to the design is simplicity: cheap to produce, easy to repair and outfit and quick to train new pilots on. The Gladius is an aging design nearing the end of its life-cycle, although iterative updates have kept it the most nimble fighter in the active fleet.
P.S. This craft is being offered for pre-game launch sale this weekend only. A nice looking craft.
