Star Citizen System Requirements

Fleet Admiral Posts: 1918 Joined: 14.12.12	What are the system requirements for Star Citizen? There will be a lot of optimization in the next 24-months, plus the usual fast pace of technology, so it is hard to say absolutely. At the moment you will be able to play it on a dual core PC with a GTX 460 or greater video card and 4GB of system memory. If you’re running an i7 2500, 2600, 2700 or better with a GTX 670 or greater then the stars are the limit! Since the game is built on CryEngine, their system requirements will stay roughly the same as ours. On a personal note, this means I will have to upgrade my computer withing the next year in order to play and enjoy all of the games beautiful graphics.

Fleet Admiral Posts: 1734 Joined: 14.12.12	I recommend Alienware if anyone is interested. I got one when the i7 quad core first came out a couple years ago, and this machine still laughs at anything I can throw at it and I don't even use the overclocking features that are available. I'm currently running 15 gigs of memory and everything is rock solid stable. In addition to being fast, it has been the most trouble free computer I have ever owned. I am confident that it will handle Star Citizen when the time comes. I have built my own custom gaming systems in the past, and while they are cheaper and can be faster, it's just not worth the hassle to me anymore to get one running in a stable config when I can get one already put together that is not all that much more expensive than buying the parts and assembling it myself.
